WHAT IS COMMUNITY RELATIONS?

COMMUNITY Relations (CR) is a project headed by $Moonbeam13 , in which a team of volunteer staff bring you Daily Deviation Features and community events. The CR team is composed of gallery moderators; dedicated volunteers who connect to the community and improve dA.

WHAT IS AN CR-SPONSORED CHAT ROOM?

When you join an CR-sponsored chatroom, you can feel at home with familiar community members, sharing opinions, suggestions, and asking questions. #IamAnthro has been designed to support the anthro community by providing direct connection to dA staff members and seniors involved in the anthro community, as well as links to current anthro events.

Basic Overview of Chat Rules

ALL USERS SHOULD:
-Treat everyone in the room with respect
-Be polite and courteous to guests and new members
-Keep conversations meaningful— talk about anthro/art
-Refrain from foul language or suggestive content– this room is PG rated.

THINGS THAT WILL GET YOU INTO TROUBLE:
-Flaming, bashing, or disparaging others
-Excessive drama
-Challenging the moderators and/or administrators
-Spamming/posting images that may be disturbing to some visitors
-Excessive Icon/bot spam/emoticon posting
-Not following DAmn and #IamAnthro rules (as detailed below in chat policy)

#IamAnthro’s Chat Policy

These Rules have been slightly modified from dAmn Regulations and Policies to accommodate the needs of this Chatroom. Under no circumstances should either be ignored.

APPROPRIATE TOPICS

Being an CR-sponsored chat, general conversation in this room should consist of anthro-related topics. #IamAnthro is also the home of the Anthro Challenge and is a place where you can speak to Anthro Challenge staff with questions, ideas and suggestions.

Although occasional side conversations are permitted, please try to keep conversations meaningful. Be positive and bring suggestions, not complaints. This is not a room to babble about pointless things or gossip about users in another channel. There are plenty of anthro/ furry art chats on dAmn where you can be as immature as you like…BUT NOT HERE.

Please know that all content discussed in #IamAnthro is PG rated. No sex/vore/hate/vulgar/profanity/ or anything that may be disturbing to visitors should be posted in this chat. Doing so will have negative consequences such as warnings, kicks or in some cases, bans.

INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE and HARASSMENT

Inappropriate language includes any language that in any way looks like, sounds like, or abbreviates any of the following: Profanity, sexual content, explicit language, inappropriate references to sexual preferences, or offensive remarks (such as racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual). Actions that either incite or encourage others to violate these and other policies will not be tolerated.

Moderators will remove anyone who advocates or encourages expressions of violence, bigotry, racist, or hatred. No appeals for bans and kicks related to inappropriate language or harassment will be tolerated. We encourage our members to treat each other with respect. Do not threaten, harass, stalk or abuse others.

EXCESSIVE DRAMA

We expect the mood of rooms to remain civil at all times. For this reason, we ask that you keep negative, personal issues in private and that you do not use #IamAnthro as a place to fight and argue. If such an event should happen, then a chat moderator will step in and take whatever action is deemed necessary.

SPAMMING

Avoid excessive shouting (use of all-caps), gibberish (random letters with no attempt at conversation), excessive word streeeeeeeetching or flooding (continuous posting of repetitive text) in #IamAnthro. We ask you not to do this as it disrupts the flow of chat for other users. The posting of unsolicited advertisements for external Web pages or large, random, copy/paste of texts is also considered spamming. Neither will bot spamming/harassing be tolerated. Bots are in the chat to share thumbnails and to be a resource -- not something to mess around with when you get bored.

IDLING

If you must idle- it’s nice to let members of the chat know what’s going on. Use the /away command- or use a bot’s command away message. If it’s a sudden unexpected thing- let us know afterwards. Communication is nice and it keeps confusion to a minimum.

BANS and KICKS

Bans and kicks are set at the discretion of the moderators; based on etiquette policy, these rules, and discussion with `cooley. The creation or use of existing accounts for the purpose of ban evasion is not tolerated and will result in the extension of the ban period, as well as a possible ban on all alternate accounts from the Chat Network and deviantART itself.

The minimum period for any ban is one day (24 hours) and can be anything up to indefinite. If you have a query about a ban in #IamAnthro, contact `cooley via note.

PROBLEMS with MODERATORS/PROMOTION

If any chatter in #IamAnthro feels there is a problem with a moderator (anything that goes against the aforementioned rules, favoritism, abuse of power, setting a bad example, etc.), immediately copy/paste the conversation into a note to `cooley.

Do NOT harass the moderator, incite violent danger or attempt to create an uprising. Doing so will result in a ban. Do NOT ask to be promoted. Doing so will likely result in the answer “NO.”

CHAT BOTS

No bots can be loaded into #IamAnthro without first registering it through the dAmn network, contacting `cooley and verifying your bot with her. If you have an inquiry about having your bot in #IamAnthro, please note ^Katmomma with the following information, which will be forwarded to `cooley for further consideration:
-Bot’s Name ( :devyourbotsusername: )
-Bot type (Dante, Sapphire…etc.)
-Bot’s purpose for use in #IamAnthro

Please try to operate with configurations of your bot in another channel unless absolutely necessary. Setting up welcome messages is ok, but please do not abuse it.

MODERATOR MEETINGS

Moderator meetings will be once a week but at this time have not been scheduled. Please contact ~bigjeff5 with your ideas/suggestions for he has been placed in charge of the moderator chat (#IaAm) and meetings.
