[Final] I don't know about you, but when it comes to panel design; I like to make things pop. Overlapping the approaching horses with the actual panel can give that effect.
I also tried experimenting with atmospheric perspective (dust)- and lighting. This is a mid morning event so the sunlight is just painting the landscape with its yellow glow. Thanks so much to the three great stock providers for the background and saddle blankets!

One of the First few panels I have developed in the graphic novel version of Ting Tang Too The Siamese Cat From Hunshu. The story starts out with Ting Tang having a dream about events that led up to the Great Suchow's execution 1,000 years ago. ....I don't want to spoil any suprises so I'm going to shut up now.

Anyway-- this is Ancient Hunshu- and yes, although Hunshuians do prefer their natural stance, Nobles did dress up-- and ride horses

.... Don't worry- this will be a fun story to follow.
