Inspired by the swaggy 1920's dance, The FoxTrot, and my favorite Ragtime version of an old song meant for the quickstep....I can't seem to find it anywhere but my ipod XD. This be my Illustration assignment also.
The character design is not meant to be realistically proportionate in any way. It was a little doodle I did in class without reference, and I just decided to take it a little further. I was playing around with fun retro gesture lines   I got my hands on some new photoshop brushes that allow me to play more with weight and pressure, and in a way this wound up to be yet another experiment. *tracyjb's chiaroscuro under-painting technique was also something I integrated into this piece as well. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
