The Earthen Ram of Igneous Rock - rock that earth as a planet is born from. This creature is the epicenter of the worlds most disasterous earthquakes-- and is the lord who breathes life into dormant volcanoes. He is not an elemental force to be taken lightly. With horns and hooves comprised of the hardest form of carbon, Diamond, no metal or rock is tough enough to stop him from his rampage!
He is the prince of Tremors-- Lord of Tectonic activity- God of the Volcano.... Representing the most powerful forces of the Earth Element....

:eyes: hey-- the stone texture is in! Muhuhuhuhahaha!

Okay... so I decided to go with traditional media combined with a little digital enhancement. Using an opague layer of digital paint, I created a synthetic watercolor to help fill in the gaps colored pencil can leave behind.
I can only begin to tell you how hard it is to make a rock-like texture with pencils-- let alone shading rocks.

 Many many thanks to all of you who gave feedback on the line art!

For =kankakanka and =PearlEden's elemental contest. I'm working with the element of earth for this one-- but not grassy-earth. I'm talkin' ingneous rock- the life-forces of the Earth Element.

Let the Volcanoes errupt and Tectonic Activity go rampid!!

Ah, very nice line work. Impressive ^_^ , the pose screams awesomeness!

I love this Kat. You might want to add rock veins, but you probably intended to do that while coloring :)
Or little stones falling from several places or its body?

Really powerfull pose :O I really like the idea of the chest design, although it woulds seem to me that it is a bit too "hard" considering it's replacing some soft fur... maybe some "grass" would look better? or some lava? :giggle:
This is just a thought though: the rest of the picture looks flawless to me, keep it up!

I'm thinking of having stones flying around--- and maybe a tribal design in the backdrop.....still thinking. Hey I like the rock Viens idea! ---If only I knew how to not make them take away from the character. :giggle:

In many aspects of life, having money is a good thing. That is, unless you smell of cow manure. Then a shower is a good thing.

 hehe I would do grass if he was more of a grassy-earth god XD-- but something drives my mind more towards rock.....hmmmm..... but good suggestion though.. maybe there is some room for grass. :)
