[Edit] I thinned the line work. I couldn't completely get rid of it because I need to save time and it needs a backbone. I can't draw with a mouse. But I can paint, so I'll have to manage.
Still working on skin tone- in fact, I made some changes to Mr. H while I was at it. I'm finally starting to understand skin tone and how to work it with the mouse.
MULTIPLY MULTIPLY MULTIPLY Lots of multiply layers
I may go back and thin the line art a little, because I really like the feel this rendering has.
Thank you everyone for all the kind compliments and feedback earlier, I will get to you guys as soon as I get a break from school work
Anyway, the shading is really well done, especially the nose (you're right, he does have an awesome nose xD). The detail is fantastic; I like how you went all the way down to the tiny creases in his face. Initially, I thought the outer lines made it look a little fake (they are a tiny bit thick), but taking the lack of inner lines, it actually contrasts quite well. The indent right above his lip (how small it is) really makes the piece. When you first glance, it's like "hm, seems a tiny bit flat," but that indent makes it look both human and cartoon, while taking on the appearance of clay (yeah, the shading makes his face appear to be made out of clay, but that isn't a bad thing xD;; )
O.o Oh god, that shading is gorgeous! Honestly it is very life-like, more realistic then your previous works. I simply love it. Mostly around the jaw and nose is perfect, though I feel it falls back going toward the highlight in his neck, to keep consistency, I would keep an eye on that highlight so it doesn't flatten what realism you created. But that's just my say. And I agree with the thinning of the linework, a strong outline always flattens an image, so it's good to see it going noticed. So take what you will of my comment and leave the rest XP. Good luck and I can't wait to see the final rendered image. Too bad I don't get enough critiques....*looks at you* XD
