Haha for once I haven't used the element of line. I wanted to create a soft, classic look this time around. 'Tis a self protrait- inspired by my attire at my 2007 high school prom. I love the 20's look, and if I absolutely have to be in a dress, it has to be a halter top- because I love that style and yes, I'm a Virgo and proud to be one Now that I'm done farting around with a tablet, It's on to commissions :1#: Photoshop 7 hours Textures by ~darkiTexture Comments

-- *karliashi is Holy cow, the stylization here is super awesome man! Really love the colors, too. Definitely has that classic look to it. C: Sorry I'm not much for critiquing things, seeing as this is better than any self portrait I could fart out. XD
FABULOUS. *stamps your forehead with an A+* -- "Did you see his arms? They were like legs!" Thank you

It's SO HARD to get a mix between realism and something stylistic, and you've nailed it here. The hair and eyes look great, I love how they stand out so much being that they're so...dark and crisp in comparison, but that works- it gives the viewer a nice focal point. And in pictures like this, the face should be the focal point!
I'm loving the blue highlights as well- the shading is flawless. The area on the neck and lips where the light hits looks amazing. I also really like the long neck.
My only crit, after looking at this for ages, is the left [viewer's right] boob. The shading makes it look an odd shape and too high. But that's just me nitpicking, I had to really look to find something to crit. XD I don't like using this box unless I have some "negative" feedback to balance it out!
And and 1920s YES. I love that era too. I love how the pose and facial expression in this really...fits the 20s atmosphere.
Some of my closest friends are Virgos! Which by a starsign standard is really, really weird- I'm an Aries.
Awesome work.
Here I go. Everything from the flower pattern on your dress and the obvious real-like glow you give to the dress is simply exquisite. Your gold necklace looks wonderful. The lips, the texture and color of the hair are simply amazing! The color bone -- almost everything is wonderful.
What I did notice is that you should probably smooth out the color on the bridge of the nose and up to the forehead a tiny bit. You can see the edge of the brush you used. I also think that your overall lighting is a bit to dark for this piece. Perhaps a bit more yellow glow? Then again, I may just be a little picky. It struck me as a tad to dark for both the theme and the style.
Overall, though, it is exquisite. I know that I can't do anything like this, but hey, I'm a writer. That's where I do what I do.
