Revamp of --> I thought I would post this one since it was one that I had already done previously. Several of the very first concept arts have been revamped for publishing.
Jack spending some quality time with his sister-in-law, Binita. In the first version, I really did not capture Binita's cynical and somewhat "over the top" personality the way I wanted to-- and at the same time, I didn't really grasp the kind of emotion I wanted from Jack. This particular scene is a tense moment-- and there is a lot of tension between Jack and Binita because of their conflicting perspectives. Jack is under a lot of stress, and Binita enjoys tormenting him-- even more so now that she has something to poke fun at.
In the old version, the interpersonal exchange was not as strong as it should be. Also, it is not consistent with the style of the rest of the book, so it couldn't be used anyway. Although it was nice to have a full background, the theme of the book revolves around illustrating personalities- so the smaller "in between" illustrations emphasize on figures while the much larger flush illustrations for each chapter focus on environment.
Loving the new one! You've totally nailed your chracters. I love how mirthful she is, especially in contrast to fatty-boom-boom there with the grumps. Loving the title too.

"You mean... it's diet?"
"Sure is. Now have at it. You know you'll love it."
