Hipster Mitchell on Postmodern Artby ^Katmomma

This is something I designed for my high school students for a lesson on Performance Art & Postmodernism Theory.

Since "hipsters" are pretty much products of postmodernism...I thought it would only be appropriate to make some jokes out of contemporary art.
I'm hoping that with this humor, my students will remember what Postmodernism is all about.

And yes...if you don't know the artists mentioned....GOOGLE IT. You'll actually get the jokes if you know them.

SO true! man, they're stuck up. I once had the displeasure of being called a hipster once. That's such an insult! I don't talk down to people just because they like and do mainstream things. Both underground and mainstream things can be cool. People need to be a little more open minded....

I know all of these artists... this is sad. You sum up everything I absolutely hated about my first year and a half of college. Now that I'm actually in the graphic design program, the good stuff is coming my way, instead of "conceptual" stuff. :sigh:
