[Edit] So here I go again... Muhuhuhuhahaha Color Theory :evillaugh: So what if he looks rainbowy-- That's what happens with colored pencil :/ He can be my own character now.. Cygnus Olor, the Rainbow Swan.

A Mute Swan......
Time for me to go Birdy :slow: It's been a while since I did a decent bird. What better a subject than our resident pond dwellers, our Swans.

:o I think his tail is a bit parrot like... but then again I did this outside looking at him....and he was floating around in the water....
Needless to say I didn't have a great reference. I was also looking at a picture I took of our Gray Geese to get a sense of the feather structure.

I'm going to dedicate the final piece to :iconspookowl: -- She loves birds- and her work inspired me to try one!

Those clean lines almost make me jealous :giggle: Especially the large wing feathers. Perfectly clean and precise.

Beautiful illustration of a gorgeous bird

Oh my, the lines are so straight and smooth! The wings seem a bit small and the legs should be closer together (We have geese/swans where I used to live too) but overall a quite splendid lineart

Beautiful feather structure! You really nailed it on this guy!

Yeah I think the head and neck appear a little larger because of the foreshortening going on as well. Thank you  maybe I can go back in and fix a few things :D

I'm thinking of a number between one and ten, and I don't know why.
